I don't think it is necessary for Switzerland to support Greenland, firstly because not even Denmark supported our country when the US imposed 35% tariffs. Then I have the impression that Switzerland must reconcile itself with the role it played in the past, of acting as arbiter and putting forward reason and balance, because we are in a delirious world, where the US punishes those who disagree with them and therefore also exacerbate the internal debate within countries, worsening the climate of states. Moreover, let's face it, Switzerland is not helped by anyone, it always manages on its own. It is accused of heinous acts it has not committed and has become fragile and incapable of defending itself. At times this country seems to allow itself to be blackmailed with extreme ease and declares itself guilty even when it is innocent. I would also like to mention the immaturity of left-wing groups who demonstrate like pathetic nihilists to destroy Switzerland from within because they are ashamed of the advantages they enjoy.

Switzerland must absolutely take a stand for once, otherwise there is a risk that it will become a "US loophole" for future EU sanctions. That would make our position impossible for both parties. Apart from that, we would have to clearly turn away from the current US strategy because Europe, and not America, offers us a sustainable economic as well as political option. It cannot be that Switzerland once again waits until the winner of this power struggle emerges in order to then profit as much as possible. A good opportunity to clearly take a stand already presents itself this week at the WEF in Davos. It is time for Switzerland to finally recognise that the US is no longer a reliable partner and therefore stop giving luxury watches and gold bars as gifts to an emerging dictator. This also applies to FIFA, which enjoys our hospitality and must behave in accordance with our values.
