Unfortunately, I cannot make up my mind, because naturally everyone(?) wishes for peace, but on the other hand I wouldn't know how it could come about after all the tremendous suffering, especially on the Palestinian side - and this has been going on for decades!

Why were the Jews actually persecuted in the Second World War?? As far as I know, they had committed no crimes. Quite different in the current conflict: Hamas reacted on 7 October 2023 to all the incomprehensible injustices and humiliations - it was a cry for help, so strong that the world finally looked properly. Because they didn't act out of some stupid whim and it's even understandable to me (sorry!), I cannot see them as terrorists - quite unlike Netanyahu's henchmen: if there were an escalation of terrorism, it would fit them.

These two completely different cultures with this past living side by side in peace, joy and harmony - impossible!

The solution must be different...

Clearly Trump has done his calculations: Israel costs him a fortune and only brings him trouble, as he is obviously eyeing Gulf money for numerous reasons, both national and international, whether admissible or not. As a result, "Israel" finally/truly becomes "officially" the 51st State of the USA. "Israel" now has only one objective: to serve as a US military base in the region, to flex muscles and compensate for the continuous loss of US prestige in Muslim countries, from Baghdad to Islamabad, from Jakarta to Doha. So yes, the fate of Palestinians and/or Palestine is still, and more than ever, intimately linked to Gulf petrodollars, and for now, it is towards them that Trump's favours are directed, but for how long...?
