I always assume that problems must be solved at their root causes. Of course, I could also come to terms with an age limit. BUT... 1. From what age? And with what justification for each set age? It would need to be plausibly justified. 2. Who produces the "overdose of rubbish" that gets published on social media? It's not the children, or the young teenagers! It's adults or young adults. They must be held accountable. 3. The social media producers themselves must take more responsibility. And if they don't, then we must take action against them with legitimate democratic rules. 4. We adults must lead by example and demonstrate how to handle social media. And hand on heart... How much rubbish do adults actually consume on social media? If nobody watches, those behind it can't earn millions more either. Hours are spent on social media, whilst at the same time many people feel increasingly lonely.

Ideally yes, but I don't see how to do it technically!!! On top of that, a teenager, if you forbid them something, they'll take perverse pleasure in getting around this ban out of a spirit of contradiction (my own example when I was younger lol)... If we add parents who are increasingly at the beck and call of their spoilt child(ren)... parents who themselves are for the most part addicted to social networks. No, if we remain a democracy, I don't see any way to achieve it! On the other hand, totalitarian regimes like Russia and China are more effective at achieving this! But even there, VPNs exist for the cleverest ones, so... So let's start by banning pseudonyms for young people and older people on social networks, that would make far fewer people feel "ballsy" enough to insult, threaten and/or harass others! Which would already be a good start!!!
