Furthermore, tolerance is naturally demanded for oneself without offering it even remotely in return. Why should one, after all the "others" are inevitably in the wrong if they don't share "my opinion". Personally, I have already experienced Beethoven being described as "noise", so I was hardly ever inclined to take such debates seriously. But if they are now voting on a "leaf blower ban" - and this nonsense is even being waved through, you can already laugh yourself silly about what they'll think of next. Possibly postnatal abortion compulsion due to "noise pollution" from children crying?? The way some people are "ticking" at the moment, it's only a matter of time... 🤣🤣

If we complain about the neighbouring farm and the noise generated by the animals or about the playground making noise at 10:00, it's a rich person's problem. Indeed, French justice puzzles me regarding the closure of the playground in Maisons-Laffitte for noise pollution. I hope that Swiss justice will never side with such complaints. The same goes for the village bell tower or the farm that were already there before the villas were built.

Now, if we ban certain loud noises (construction sites, aeroplanes, cars and motorbikes, lawnmowers, parties, etc.) at certain hours or on certain days so that people can sleep or rest, then it's an important issue. The more populated Switzerland becomes, the more "noise" will increase. It is therefore important to legislate to maintain good social cohesion.
