Cash allows for anonymity in spending. It also allows you to see in your wallet how much you have left. As a former poor person, I am very familiar with the system of withdrawing a sum for the month in cash to do the shopping. You shop differently.

Cash allows for better interaction, faster payment as it is direct (no need to wait for the transaction to process) and a better overview of your spending. Psychologically, it also allows you to better gauge the concept of spending (giving 400 francs in cash is not the same as paying by Twint/card, where you don't get the impression that you've spent money).

For all these reasons, and more besides but I will stop here, I wish to see cash preserved and the possibility of using it for my spending in any shop.

I don't think that anyone is being "discriminated against" here.

I very rarely take a taxi. But when I do, I have always been able to pay by card.

Otherwise - we have a free market economy and I choose the business that doesn't force me to find a cash machine first.
