If they don't want to let go of their mistrust, then a tool must be developed to verify performance. The employer has advantages, just like the employee. Lower costs for premises, less traffic congestion, less public transport overload, lower food costs, better work-life balance, no lunch obligation, etc. Exchange can take place excellently via e.g. Teams... Or what do you think, how do IT professionals work together on solutions? It's baffling to me why the gossip at the coffee machine or politely nodding along to the weekend report from superiors should bring me any professional or social added value. I feel part of a team when my professional concerns are at least heard, when expertise and cooperation are promoted, and when the remuneration is fair. Office presence is not a seal of quality for the qualification of leadership or the team, and even less for values such as loyalty, openness, and willingness to sacrifice. There needs to be more focus on the needs of employees. If someone voluntarily enjoys being in the office, that should be given just as much attention as those who advocate for home office. However, it cannot be that the advantages of digitalisation are ignored due to historical convenience, thus slowing down progress. I recommend that office enthusiasts approach the topic of team spirit more innovatively.

We observe that these people tend to suffer from burnout because they work very late. In some cases, we have had to cut off access to servers so that these people rest in the evening. This creates a tense atmosphere for everyone.
