Reading some comments from those who would like to leave the F-35 programme, I have formed an idea of the ignorance of the subject matter and how simple it is to make many users believe things.

Trump decided nothing and did not inflate the programme costs, Swiss pilots were not able to test the aircraft (at most they will have done some initial evaluation on the simulator, although I have some doubts).

This aircraft is not the only one to have teething problems and in any case it is in continuous evolution and is therefore subject to constant improvements.

The only consideration to make is: does Switzerland really need such an advanced aircraft?

If the government has thought to keep up with the times and equip itself with such a sophisticated and advanced weapons system, capable of projecting air power into the future, it will mean that some real expert has expressed an opinion that the majority of ordinary citizens have not yet understood.

Obviously, we need to stop this disaster; it's becoming annoying in the end. Why has the Swiss army been doing everything backwards for the past few years?

They buy drones that only work in summer.

They want to associate with NATO activities at the expense of Switzerland's centuries-old neutrality and good offices.

Moreover, they acquire an aircraft that requires Pentagon authorisation to fire a missile, whose computer systems are infected with American spyware, an aircraft known for its recurring teething problems that will cost a fortune to maintain.

I'm all for increasing the army's budget, but only if it's not to waste taxpayers' money on poor choices that don't serve the country's interests.
