Platform X is the best way to protect freedom of expression today. The Twitter files have shown how the Democrats and their allies at the FBI systematically suppressed unwelcome opinions on Twitter, Facebook and the leading media in the USA. Twitter / X has freed itself from this and Facebook is following the good example. That is a good thing. Now people can inform themselves independently of the left-wing opinion dictators. And that is bearing fruit: In the USA, people have been able to free themselves from the corrupt and incompetent Democrats and can once again hope for peace and prosperity. Unfortunately, the people of LA are experiencing the effects of corruption and mismanagement first hand. Hopefully they will learn their lessons and free themselves from the woke Democrats too, then they will have a future. The Germans, on the other hand, are at the mercy of economic decline and the dictatorship of the cartel parties. In Germany, meanwhile, people are persecuted by the police if they call their economics minister a "moron" (given his track record, "criminal" would have been more accurate). And Musk recognized this correctly: The basis of a liberal democracy is freedom of speech. Freedom of expression can be difficult and hurtful. You have to be able to put up with a lot of things you don't like. But it has to be worth it to us. Freedom of expression is the only way to defend ourselves against corruption and to distinguish truth from wishful thinking.

A simple way to regulate social networks would be to verify users' identities using a passport or identity card. It's technically very easy; LinkedIn does it in a matter of minutes. This would help prevent abusive behavior and bots, make it possible to trace problematic accounts back to real individuals, and so on. Because when you see the number of insulting messages under posts, especially on YouTube where people's identities are even more hidden than on Facebook or Instagram, it's quite frightening. And beyond this impunity, the algorithms for short videos are terribly mind-numbing for children, who subsequently crave that dopamine hit and lose the ability to be bored or occupy themselves. When I consider the time I can waste as an adult, despite being aware of the dangers, I must say it worries me for younger generations.
