Racism should have remained in the last century, conceptually speaking. Why? Because since the beginning of the millennium, our advances in understanding genetics have proven to us that all human beings share 99.9% of their genes between individuals. Therefore, there are no RACES within the human SPECIES.

Philosophically speaking, there was a small article that contrasts constructivism with eliminativism, on the suppression of the use of the concept of "racism" and all its derivatives. It was a big mistake not to have taken this more seriously. Today, regardless of your ideologies limited to "I choose the red flag or the blue flag", we must seriously reclaim the structures that form our society and avoid falling into the trap of crude political polarisation.

Racism in Switzerland is taken so seriously that it's infantilizing and ridiculous.

During the week against racism, posters were displayed featuring statements taken out of context and supposed to be racist, with the aim of raising awareness. For example, "Did you overcook the oven? And now you're wondering if the people who made this poster have even read the definition of "racism", which implies a hierarchy of races, and how it applies to the above example. At worst, it's tasteless humor.

Can you imagine if people made a big deal out of every joke about the backwardness and inbreeding of the Valaisans?

In the end, objectively speaking, racism isn't increasing. It's the definition of those who observe it that's becoming increasingly blurred, allowing racism to be seen everywhere.
