To ensure long-term funding for the AHV (or the second pillar), we should first index salaries to inflation and take into account the productivity of our work! Indeed, in 10 years, real wages have increased by 2% while the productivity of our work has increased by 10%! We are asked for 10% more, and out of these 10 we are only given 2...

We therefore deserve much higher salary increases (which are being captured by companies and shareholders at our expense). With these deserved increases, there would be no more funding problems and we could even retire earlier. Not to mention the economy would be better off (and additional means for the population or the environment).

But shh, asking for our salaries to be aligned with labour productivity is Bolshevism... and those who refuse are certainly not inhumane ultra-liberal ideologues. ;)

We can't discuss how to fund the AHV every 5 years: the situation will get worse and worse over the next 2 or 3 decades, so we need an automatic system that adjusts the funding of the AHV. Then, if the parties, the government or the population agree on additional financing, financing that avoids pushing back the retirement age, then why not, but we need a backup solution that doesn't always require endless discussions. The situation is simple: a peak of boomers will reach retirement age between now and 2030, and there aren't enough young people to replace these retirements because of our age pyramid. Immigration won't be able to replace the shortfall, because there isn't enough housing available and we can't build any more if we want to preserve agricultural land. Not to mention the fact that the authorities will have to invest in the energy transition at a time when economic growth is no longer guaranteed, which will pose a problem in terms of financing choices.
